Graphic Novels for (Really) Young Readers
Woohoo--Schlup scoop--I love it!!! I also loved Fairytale Comics. I'm torn as to whether I should keep it for myself or give it to my 18-month-old nephew, now that our class is over...hmm...is it wrong of me to keep it? Tough decision...
ReplyDeleteYour graphic novel fact really made me think. I remember spending half of every Sunday reading the funny papers when I was really young. I was having a blast, but it took awhile to determine which voice bubble to read first and to match the pictures with the words. I can definitely see how it takes more brain energy to read graphic novels and will try to keep more of them on my classroom shelves for my high schoolers.
